Call for Content Experts

Advanced Ventilator Life Support (AVLS)

Pediatric Ventilator Life Support (PVLS)

Neonatal Ventilator Life Support (NVLS)

The Mechanical Ventilation Training Institute (MVTI) is seeking experienced clinicians and educators to serve as authors, reviewers, and content experts for the upcoming revision of Advanced Ventilator Life Support (AVLS) and the development of the first edition of Pediatric Ventilator Life Support (PVLS) and Neonatal Ventilator Life Support (NVLS).

Writers will revise and expand existing content (AVLS) and create new, evidence-based content for PVLS & NVLS in collaboration with our editorial team.  All material must reflect the most current research, evidence-based best practices, and global standards in mechanical ventilation care.

Reviewers will ensure the accuracy, clarity, and relevance of content and contribute to maintaining the scientific rigor and clinical applicability of each publication.

Key Expectations for Writers and Reviewers

  • Writers will be provided with clear guidance, chapter outlines, and editorial expectations.

  • Content must be relevant to global best practices and should not reference specific institutional policies or regional regulations.

  • References should be within 10 years, unless seminal works are being cited.

  • All citations must be accurate, evidence-based, and appropriate for a global, multidisciplinary audience (physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and paramedics).

  • Reviewers will perform detailed peer reviews of assigned chapters using provided guidelines.
